Wave properties and transverse shear of a turbulent boundary layer
Abstract
The wave theory of turbulence is used to obtain a solution to the problem of a turbulent boundary layer on a plane wall. The existence of a succession of 'standard' states of the boundary layer in conformity with the sequence of modifications of its wave structure is shown.
