A general-purpose program for nonlinear microwave circuit design
Abstract
The problems concerning the computer-aided design (CAD) of linear microwave circuits have been solved, and powerful general-purpose CAD programs are available. The situation is different with respect to the general problem of nonlinear circuit design. In this case, the solution of a design problem involves the determination of a suitable network and a nonsinusoidal electrical regime which satisfies the design specifications. The present investigation is concerned with the structure and the basic philosophy of a program package for the design of a certain class of nonlinear microwave circuits. In the current version of the program the nonlinearity is confined to the presence of a user-defined nonlinear 'component' having a maximum of three ports.
