The bilocal approximation for the electric field in strong fluctuation theory
Abstract
In strong fluctuation theory, equations for the average and fluctuating parts of an auxiliary field, F, are obtained when the bilocal approximation is made. However, the corresponding equations for the electric field are not derived. It is shown here that the equations for F in the bilocal approximation may be manipulated to yield equations for the electric field. The latter are as simple as those for F and offer more flexibility in studies where explicit analytical solutions are difficult to obtain.
