Finite-element solution of three-dimensional electromagnetic problems
Abstract
A three-dimensional finite-element scheme is proposed for finding directly the electric or magnetic field at a given frequency of excitation inside a closed system containing lossy inhomogeneous materials of arbitrary shape. It is shown that the scheme may be used to find the scattering parameters of general two-port linear waveguide problems. Results are presented for four cases.
