Response of variations of free stream velocity on inviscid and incompressible flow past a wavy plate
Abstract
This paper studies the several types of free stream flow past the wavy plate. The solution is obtained in terms of free stream function by regular perturbation. It may be noted that the introduction of small vorticity does not affect the primary flow due to uniform free stream; however it tends to increase the maximum pressure at the wall. As in the case of uniform free stream, the extrema of the pressure coefficient along the X-direction coincide with those of the wall. The perturbed flow fields due to the presence of the wavy shaped boundary die out transversally at the same rate as in case of uniform stream.
