Morphology and kinematics of planetary nebulae.
Abstract
The application of monochromatic images and internal kinematic data to the construction of 3-dimensional models for the H II regions of planetary nebulae is discussed, and the role of models in investigating envelope evolution is commented upon. The quality and usefullness of available data is critically reviewed, and examples of "seeing limited" kinematic and isophotometric data obtained with a new imaging Fabry-Perot system are presented.
