The southern Be star photometric campaign - A first report
Abstract
The preliminary results of photometric observations of Be stars in the southern hemisphere are presented. The observations were carried out using comparison stars with reliable Johnson photometry, and the photometric reduction coefficients were obtained using a modified version of the method of Harris et al. (1981). For each variable the measured range in B and V is given, as well as the time scale over which the range was observed. Residuals in V, B-V, and U-B were plotted against air mass, hour angle, declination, and color, and no trends were found. The photometric data are summarized in a table.
