Numerical results on the simulation of microstrip elements and units of microwave integrated circuits
Abstract
Computer simulation of the integral characteristics of microstrip elements was performed on the basis of electrodynamic circuit theory. Algorithms are presented for determining dispersion, impedances of the equivalent circuits, and wave matrices. Simulation results are found to agree well with experimental data, which demonstrates that methods of electrodynamic circuit theory have good potential for the analysis of microstrip lines in microwave integrated circuits of various configurations, for various substrate parameters, and in a wide frequency range.
