New approach towards frequency stabilisation of linewidth-narrowed semiconductor lasers
Abstract
By means of controlling the injection current and the phase of optical feedback, simultaneous frequency stabilization and line-width reduction of a semiconductor laser are demonstrated. Line-width reduction from 24 MHz to 300 kHz and mean frequency stability better than 800 Hz relative to a Fabry-Perot etalon were obtained.
