E2 - A heavy 'clean' payload of the energy-budget campaign
Abstract
Two 390 kg Skylark payloads with viewing angle 180 deg for the sensor of the infrared spectrometer were built. The spectrometer was equipped with a jettisonable cap. Cleanliness was assured by separate dusttight compartments and a special cleaning procedure at the launch site. Recovery by parachute and a turnover maneuver allowed the reuse of the payload and the main experiment.
