Motion of a satellite with perfect dynamic symmetry about a rotating aspherical earth
Abstract
Expressions are obtained for perturbations of selected canonical elements determining the translational motion of a satellite with perfect dynamic symmetry and the rotational motion of the earth. It is shown that the Delaunay elements characterizing the translational motion of a satellite about the earth acquire considerable perturbations induced by the earth's shape.
