Petri-network functional description of a voltage-controlled transistor inverter
Abstract
A functional model of a voltage-controlled transistor current inverter is developed, using interdependent Petri networks to describe separately the command sequence and the linkage of functional modes which results from it. A four-class numbering scheme for the twelve possible controlled states of the inverter is defined, the coding of the voltages at the inverter terminals is explained, and the functional description is illustrated with block diagrams. The model presented is found to be well suited to the numerical simulation of the inverter on the basis of its load (Hautier et al., 1983).
