Représentation ponctuelle de la contribution de la frontière d'ombre d'un objectif radar et son introduction dans le modèle des points brillants
Abstract
The discrete-scatterers model of radar reflection from a complex target is investigated analytically, and a technique is developed which represents the shadow boundaries on the target surface by imaginary specular points. The effect of including these imaginary points on the radar cross section is evaluated, and sample calculations are performed for an elliptical paraboloid, an ellipsoid, and a sphere. The results are presented graphically and compared with the exact solutions: good agreement is obtained.
