NCFSK performance improvements by selection diversity in Gaussian and impulsive noise environments
Abstract
The binary noncoherent frequency-shift keying (NCFSK) performance improvements gained by the selection combining technique employed to counteract the signal fading in highly impulsive and Gaussian noise environments are investigated. An exact expression of the bit error rate is derived and the problem of the suitable choice of the diversity order is discussed.
