Efficient use of directionalcontrol valves in fluidlogic circuits
Abstract
Various types of directionalcontrol valves have been systematically analyzed to determine the logic output functions obtained for different inputsignal combinations. It is shown that a single directionalcontrol valve can simultaneously produce two independent and sometimes fairly complex logic functions. A great variety of such function pairs is available, depending on the type of valve chosen and on its connections. All possible function pairs are listed in tables, in a defined order. Several examples are presented to illustrate how the tables can be used to implement given fluid logic functions with a minimum number of valves.
