The variable stars in the field of the globular cluster NGC 6681.
Abstract
Photometry is presented for three new as well as two previously discovered RR Lyrae variables within the tidal radius of NGC 6681. A distance of 8.3±1.2 kpc is derived for the cluster. Ten new and three previously discovered field variables are also studied. At least some of these variables appear to belong to the galactic bulge population.
