NGC 6067 and three Cepheids.
Abstract
NGC 6067 is a small, compact cluster some 6 x 10 to the 7th yr old and, at a distance of 1.25 kpc, is superposed on, but a kpc closer than, the association Norma OB1. Several of the unusual features noted in the color-luminosity array by Thackeray, Wesselink, and Harding are caused by including association stars among the cluster members. A newly discovered cepheid, CPD -53.7400 deg A (11.3 d), is a central star in the cluster but is a member of the more distant association, as is the cepheid GU Nor (3.4 d). HD 144972 (3.8 d), a newly discovered cepheid on the border of the cluster, is probably a cluster member. The new variable, -57.7400 A, is compared with the bright, small amplitude cepheid Zeta Gem in an appendix.
