On the Role of the Number of Readings in Coordinate Measurements with the Very Long Base Interferometers
Abstract
It is shown that with bases larger than the outer scale of two-dimensional turbulence an accuracy of angular determination according to the interference frequency and the time delay can be of the same order if the specific of radiointerferometric methods for coordinate measurements is taken into consideration, which consists in accumulation of the large number of readings τ and F for one source in different hour angles.
