The structure of directional characteristics in single acoustic scattering processes
Abstract
The scattering of surface waves on a rigid band and on a rigid semiplane or a half plane with a flexible upper or bottom side which provides energy and impulse preservation was examined. An interrelationship is found between the structure of the directional characteristic and the number of turns as well as the kind of surface coatings of the scattering bodies. Consequently on a band scattering or on a semiplane with flexible upper or bottom side the observation angle and the angle of incidence of the surface wave, depending on the directional characteristics is noted. Two functions of variables, during scattering on a rigid half plane are produced by a single function. In the latter the value of the characteristic function is kept exclusively for an unknown additive constant of the conservation theorem.
