A 0.4 mm interferometer system using dielectric waveguide
Abstract
A 0.4 mm submillimeter wave, phase modulated polarimeter/interferometer is used for simultaneous time dependent measurement of line averaged electron density and poloidal field induced Faraday rotation along chords of the plasma column in ISX-B Tokamak. Heterodyne detection and hollow dielectric waveguides are utilized to achieve the high sensitivity required for the multichord equipment.
