The determination of radiovisibility zones and elevation angle of a geostationary meteorological satellite
Abstract
An algorithm for determining the elevation angle and zone of radiovisibility of a meteorological satellite is presented, and a nomogram is constructed on the basis of a rectangular longitude-latitude coordinate system. The method is found to be adequate for determining either the elevation angles of a meteorological satellite injected into any point of an equatorial geostationary orbit.
