Software and graphics for antenna performance evaluation
Abstract
Radiation pattern data have been used as the basis of software and graphic displays for the performance characteristics analysis of antennas. The data were generally obtained at 2-deg increments, in order to provide 16,380 data points from which directivity, ellipticity, and percentage coverage calculations can be made. The graphics generated are able to present calculation results in ways that facilitate the analysis of radiation pattern structure, as well as the visualization of radiation coverage orientation relative to the vehicle and the mutual relation of different antennas' coverage zones.
