The interaction of supersonic multiphase flows
Abstract
The principal gas-dynamic problems that are relevant to multiphase mixing flows, which could be used in high-enthalpy gas-dynamic apparatus, flows with the inversion of the quantum level populations, and high-velocity aerosol flows for erosion studies are examined. Emphasis is placed on the problem of the maximum possible acceleration of solid or liquid phase particles by gases. The discussion also covers effects associated with evaporation during acceleration and effects arising from the presence of boundary layers.
