Computation techniques for 3D current flow - A research need
Abstract
It is shown that three-dimensional current concentrations can give rise to excessive induced voltages in the wiring which links the flux associated with the concentration. For optimum protection, the threat needs to be quantified and protection techniques to be recommended which offer the best criteria of weight, cost, and performance. Before designers can provide suitable hardening, some technique is required to allow the prediction of such voltages. It is recommended that the development of techniques for this purpose be pursued vigorously.
