Cavity loading associated with high-current RF linacs
Abstract
The limitations on high current RF linacs due to cavity loading were studied. A linear analysis and self consistent particle simulations of a multipulsed 10 kA beam indicate that only a negligible small fraction of energy is radiated into nonfundamental cavity modes.
