Frequency response of cold wires and thermocouples used for temperature measurements in gaseous flows
Abstract
Theoretical and experimental investigation of the frequency response of cold wires and fine thermocouple is presented in the case of slightly heated gaseous flows. Particular attention is focused on the influence of the thermal sensor geometry on the behavior of the transfer function. Results obtained using a home-made procedure allowing to submit the studied probe to an external heating in flow, are compared with these from usual internal heating technique.
