The IRV-75 infrared radiometers
Abstract
IRV-75 radiometers installed on the Venera-9 and Venera-10 probes (1975-1977) were used to perform thermal radiometry of Venus. The present paper describes the characteristics of the IRV-75 radiometer, examines its optical and electronic systems, discusses the calibration method, and presents data on the behavior of the instrument aboard the Venera probes.
