Strategy for the dynamic control of a multiphase induction machine
Abstract
The nonlinear, coupled structure of a multiphase induction machine was compared to the linear, decoupled structure of a separately excited direct current machine. Using the concept of field orientated control of Blaschke, the complex structure of the induction machine can be transformed to a structure similar to that of a dc motor. The locus of the Parkvector of the stator current is analyzed by this model and the limitations on the locus for the different modes of operation of the machine are formulated. The proposed controller has a greater dynamic range as compared to the traditional controllers. The configuration of the proposed controller and simulation results are discussed.
