Thermophysical characteristics of frozen, freezing-thawing, and thawed rocks and methods of their measurement
Abstract
The evaluation methods of frozen thawing and thawed rock thermophysical characteristics (volumetric heat capacity, coefficients of heat and temperature conductivities) are described. The results concerning the grinded rock heat conductivity coefficient as a function of moisture and the cyclic freezing influence on the clay and sand soil thermophysical properties are presented.
