Design of large cryogenic fuel tanks for launch vehicles
Abstract
Structural and thermal analyses plans for cryogenic fuel tank design are presented. Tank geometry, dimensioning, heat flux, and pressurization are covered. The chosen cryogenic fuel tank seems very good in its responses to the task which it is to perform. However besides being a quantitative instrument it is also a qualitiative instrument which may make the difference in the choice of heavy satellite launchers.
