Calm ionospheric dynamo. Part 1: Simulations carried out in 1981
Abstract
Models established from incoherent scattering measurements are used to improve dynamo simulations. The characteristics of the inlet parameters of each simulation, which are the source of the neutral wind and the ionospheric conductivity, are detailed. Simulations carried out within an electrojet study are discussed. Equivalent electric current charts that may be compared to theoretical charts obtained by dynamo simulation are described. It is concluded that the dynamo model should be modified to explain observations.
