Mathematical models and numerical algorithms for viscous flows
Abstract
Mathematical models and numerical algorithms for solving viscous flow problems are discussed theoretically. Attention is given to the mathematical properties of Navier-Stokes equations, splitting-up schemes and adaptive meshes for numerical algorithms, and a modular analysis of the algorithms. The correspondence between the structure of global algorithms and the architecture of a computer is also examined.
