Boundary element method in singular and nonlinear heat transfer
Abstract
The use of the boundary element method in singular and nonlinear heat transfer problems is discussed, with emphasis on the treatment of singularities in boundary element solutions, heat equations subject to nonlinear boundary conditions, and temperature-dependent nonlinear heat conduction. Examples are presented which illustrate the use of the method of subregions and the double point technique developed for the boundary element method. Iterative boundary element solutions to nonlinear problems are examined.
