Possibility of constructing a maser from optical magnons at a p-n junction in a magnetic semiconductor
Abstract
An injection laser at a p-n junction in magnetic semiconductors is examined. A series of equations expressing, for example, the number of inductively radiating magnons and phonons per unit time and volume, are considered in order to determine magnon generation. It is shown by these equations that a magnetic semiconductor can generate magnons as well as photons.
