Two-dimensional flow impinging obliquely on a moving plane wall
Abstract
The present investigation has the objective to obtain a numerical solution of the Navier-Stokes equation for the case of two-dimensional flow of a viscous fluid impinging obliquely on a plane wall moving with constant speed. The investigation provides a generalization of a study conducted by Tamada (1979), who presented an exact solution of the Navier-Stokes equations for the case of steady two-dimensional flow of a Newtonian fluid impinging obliquely on a stationary plane wall. The obtained results are illustrated with the aid of a number of graphs.
