Theoretical description of reliability and noise suppression for a bus system transmitting discrete signals
Abstract
Steps are described that lead to the required great reliability in a bus system specially designed for the propagation of discrete signals, specifically binary information describing on-off states. Reliability theory is applied to the qualitative description and quantitative computation of the system reliability. Precautions which give good noise suppression are also discussed on the basis of a statistical model.
