A method of calculating the aim point for an unguided projectile fired at a moving target
Abstract
A method by which the initial elevation and azimuth angles and the aim point of the projectile can be determined when the effects of gravity are not neglected is presented. The drag of the projectile is assumed to be proportional to velocity squared acting in the direction opposite to the instantaneous velocity vector. A numerical method of solving the resulting equations is described.
