Electrical properties of glassy carbon
Abstract
The electrical conductivity, Hall effect, and magnetoresistance of glassy carbon were measured after heat treatments (HTT) at 1000 to 30000 C and in magnetic fields up to 5 Tesla. The conductivity is the sum of three components and follows the equation sigma = A + B exp - CT/sup -1/4/ + delta T. Results indicate there are microstructural changes occurring with HTT.
