Unified interface for the interconnection between stratified architecture levels in communication processes
Abstract
The structure of interconnections between adjacent levels of open systems architecture is redefined in order to obtain a common structure for all interfaces, consenting the exchange of structured information (interface primitives) of either request, indication, response or confirmation type. The resulting structure is a rationalization of the service primitives defined in the ISO and ECMA standards. One of the consequences of the study is the redefinition of the levels one and two.
