Unsteady low-hybridized drift oscillation and polar magnetic recombination
Abstract
Unsteady shortwave drift oscillation with a high-valve beta factor is examined. Unsteady electric poles and beta T sub i/T sub e are discussed. The polar magnetic recombiny mechanism, basis for the application of unsteady data to the magnetopause, is examined. The magnetopause width is estimated.
