Warm air systems. Part 1: Temperatures and temperature efficiencies
Abstract
Results are reported from more than a hundred tests of six different warm-air schemes. The findings show significant differences in both thermal and ventilation performance between different systems. The reports are addressed to both practicians and researchers. For the practicians it is felt that the reports generally may serve as a catalog illustrating the performance of different warm-air schemes. Furthermore it is felt that the presentation of tracer gas measurements is of general interest to all involved in these measurements. They illustrate different characteristic decay curves occurring with different air motion patterns in a room. They may therefore serve as an aid to the interpretation of obtained data. Finally, the researchers will hopefully find the data useful in their own research.
