Convective and radiative transfer for turbulent flow in energy systems
Abstract
Combined convective and radiative heat transfer for turbulent flow of a radiatively participating gas through circular ducts were examined. The results will provide a better understanding of the various energy transport mechanisms occurring in energy systems and yield mathematical methods for evaluation of gas velocity and temperature profiles when convection and radiation are simultaneously considered. The research accomplishments during the grant period of September 1, 1979 to November 30, 1982 are outlined.
