Using a microprocessor to calibrate and correct charge-coupled devices
Abstract
The serial parallel serial charge coupled device which is used to record fast transients is discussed. The chip introduces a number of noise sources and signal transformations. A postcalibration technique was used to calibrate out some of the fixed noise sources and to restore the CCD output data to its original input form. The postcalibration technique uses and LSI-11/23 and a CAMAC analog to digital and digital to analog converter.
