Statistical properties of the sequences produced by additive scramblers
Abstract
The dependance of the outlet binary symbols probability on the inlet symbols probability is evaluated and the outlet zeroes sequence statistics are analyzed. The scrambler is used in parallel in a numerical multiplexer at 4 x 140 Mbit/sec. The scheme of a generic additive scrambler is described. It is concluded that for a given number of unitary delay elements the zeroes sequence probability of the parallel additive scrambler is uniformly lower than the corresponding probability of an autosynchronizing scrambler with guard ring.
