Spectrally-efficient constant-amplitude digital modulation schemes for communication satellite applications. Task 1: Survey and systematic classification of CPM techniques
Abstract
Continuous or correlative phase modulation (CPM) for use in communication satellite applications is studied. Various approaches for generating constant a amplitude modulation with good detection-efficiency and narrow bandwidth are described. The main parameters controlling the performance are identified. Different receiver structures are considered from a theoretical point of view.
