Thermal analysis by electrical analogy for hybrid power circuits
Abstract
A hybrid servocommand circuit design was subjected to thermal analysis. Temperature curves in function of operating time and equipment technology were determined as an aid to design optimization. In order to test the rheoelectrical simulation method, a known circuit was simulated. Results were compared with thermocouple measurements. Good agreement is found. Besides the heat equations used, thermodynamic data from the literature, essential to the simulation, are listed. The computer program is given. Infrared thermography used to obtain the approximate temperature of chips is also demonstrated.
