Ion-trajectory simulations for a proposed time-of-flight mass spectrometer
Abstract
Intense focused ion beams are developed to achieve inertial confinement fusion. A time of flight mass spectrometer will be used to determine the ion composition of the beam. The design of this device is aided by computer simulations which give the ion trajectories.
