Waveguide Y-circulator
Abstract
A waveguide Y-circulator containing a magnetized ferrite element located in the center of the H plane branching is described. In order to increase the frequency band and to reduce the standing wave ratio over a broad range of temperatures, one or several metal cylinders are positioned axially in relation to the ferrite element. The cylinder or cylinders together with the ferrite element form a low Q factor resonator of the first harmonic of the electrical field.
