Wave front behavior behind a line of trees at a frequency of 139 MHz
Abstract
Measurements of signal strength and phase were carried out at two different locations; the signal emitter was 2 km in front of the woods and the receiver, mounted on a truck equipped with a 10 m high antenna, moved to the other side. A computer simulation with high resolution was performed, showing the wave front behavior at strong fading. Diagrams from 14 measurement squares of size 20 m X 20 m with wavefront and signal strength as well as signal strength distributions for different distances from the woods are presented.
