Flight tests of the MKIV wrap around fin configuration
Abstract
A series of five test vehicles, using a six finned design, were fired from a 384 mm gas gun to determine flight behaviour. The trials which were conducted and the results of analyzing the data from those trials are presented. Some comparisons are made with the results from wind tunnel tests. In general, agreement between free flight and wind tunnel measurement is good.
